  • Log out from shared or public computers
  • Immediately report any unauthorized access or suspicious activity
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

2.2 Account Integrity

To maintain platform integrity:

  • Keep your contact and business information up to date
  • Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
  • Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
  • Maintain only one active account per individual or business

3. Acceptable Listings and Products

3.1 Product Compliance

All products listed through Selling to Sold must:

  • Be items you own or have legal rights to sell
  • Be accurately described with truthful condition information
  • Have clear, unedited photos that represent the actual item
  • Comply with all applicable marketplace policies (eBay, Facebook, etc.)
  • Meet safety standards and not be subject to recalls
  • Be authentic and not counterfeit or replicas
  • Not violate any intellectual property rights

3.2 Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited on our platform:

  • Counterfeit, replica, or fake branded items
  • Stolen goods or items obtained illegally
  • Weapons, firearms, ammunition, or explosives
  • Drugs, drug paraphernalia, or controlled substances
  • Hazardous materials or regulated chemicals
  • Adult content or sexually explicit materials
  • Items that promote hate, violence, or discrimination
  • Recalled products or items banned by law
  • Human remains or body parts
  • Live animals or endangered species products
  • Prescription medications or medical devices
  • Tobacco or vaping products (in restricted jurisdictions)

4. User Conduct Standards

4.1 Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

  • Manipulate pricing or engage in price fixing
  • Use the platform for money laundering or illegal financial activity
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, customers, or staff

  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools without permission
  • Bypass platform fees or payment processing

All users are expected to:

  • Provide excellent customer service to buyers
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries (within 24 hours)
  • Ship orders within stated timeframes
  • Handle returns and refunds professionally
  • Resolve disputes fairly and in good faith
  • Maintain accurate inventory and pricing
  • Comply with tax obligations and regulations
  • Treat all parties with respect and professionalism

5. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you create, including:

When creating content, you must not:

  • Use AI-generated content that violates third-party rights

6. Platform Usage Limits

6.1 Fair Use Policy

To ensure optimal performance for all users:

  • Respect API rate limits and usage quotas
  • Do not create excessive API calls or automation
  • Use storage resources reasonably (within plan limits)
  • Do not monopolize system resources
  • Report bugs or performance issues rather than exploiting them

6.2 Data Export and Portability

You may export your data at any time:

  • Use the built-in export tools in your account settings
  • Export data in standard formats (CSV, JSON)
  • Request assistance from support for large exports
  • Do not attempt to scrape or mass-download platform data

7. Marketplace Integration Compliance

When using our marketplace integrations (eBay, Facebook, etc.):

  • You must comply with each marketplace's terms of service
  • Follow all marketplace-specific policies and guidelines
  • Maintain good standing on connected marketplace accounts
  • Respond to marketplace policy violations promptly

8. Reporting Violations

If you encounter violations of these guidelines:

  • Include screenshots or evidence when possible
  • Do not confront or engage with violators directly
  • We investigate all reports and take appropriate action
  • False reports may result in penalties

9. Consequences of Violations

9.1 Warning System

Minor violations may result in:

  • Verbal or email warnings
  • Required corrective action
  • Temporary feature restrictions
  • Mandatory policy training or review

9.2 Serious Violations

Serious or repeated violations may result in:

  • Account suspension (temporary or permanent)
  • Immediate account termination
  • Forfeiture of subscription fees
  • Ban from creating new accounts
  • Legal action for illegal activities
  • Cooperation with law enforcement when required

10. Appeals Process

If your account is suspended or terminated:

  • Appeal decisions are final and binding

11. Updates to Guidelines

Selling to Sold may update these guidelines at any time to reflect changes in laws, platform features, or best practices. Material changes will be communicated via email with 30 days notice. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
